In Open Club Munster Semi-Final Ballina Team of Ger Coonan, Martin Mc Inerney,John Mc Quaid, Fergal Collins & John Lee had a good win over Ballyporeen ( A.Supple, Billy Mc Carthy, Pat Ryan, Eddie Corbett) in Ballyporeen by 112-96. They now meet Broadford from Limerick in the Munster final on Saturday night.

In Junior B Club Ballina had a good win over Silvermines in lahorna and now Meet Cashel 1 in Thurles on Monday 23rd June @ 8 P.M. in Munster semi-Final

Junior B Club: Ballina had a good win over Bohermore on Tues. 10th June in Hospital. Mike Carroll was up against Patrick Frawley in the 1st Singles. Frawley won the 1st game 21-6 and Carroll the 2nd. 21-5. Kevin Kennedy & Declan Gleeson Bt Aengus Frawley & Dermot Condon 21-19, 21-11. In the final singles Paddy Collins Bt Eoin Frawley 21-12, 21-8  (111-68)

Ger Coonan travelled to intervarsities Championships in California. Hosted by the Spectron Club in Canoga the 18 Court Venue saw over 270 Players compete . Ger Coonan representing UL got off to a great start beating Diarmuid Smyth & M Lowy. In the Q/F he was beaten by the outright winner Luis Moreno from Pima County College who went on to beat Brian Carroll in the Final.
